Guaranteed to amaze those that view New Jersey as the “Oil Refinery State” while dismissing all of its many natural areas - Bayshores, major rivers, swamps, shores, and Pinelands.

Hopewell Quarry Swim Club Moth Exhibition Event
On September 15th 7-11pm Blaine Rothauser, a wildlife biologist and passionate lepidopterist (moth expert), will share his vast knowledge about New Jersey Moths. Following a brief presentation. Blaine will light up the night with his 1,000-watt metal halide lamp and invite you to witness the spectacular exhibition of moths of various colors, shapes, and sizes! Admission is free. Event size is limited. YOU MUST RSVP. This event is free to season pass holders.

Moth Night
Join Coalition staff for Moth Night with Senior Ecologist Blaine Rothauser as he immerses us in a hands-on, highly interactive session to observe and identify the many moths of the Highlands and to find out why they are important to the environment and what we can do to protect them.
Dress for the weather and bring a headlamp or flashlight. Bring a camera to take some awesome close-ups.
Firefly Night
Join us for an enlightening event that celebrates the lives of fireflies in all their luminescent diversity. Senior Ecologist, Blaine Rothauser, will give a brief presentation about the life cycle, history, and role fireflies play in the environment.
